His Hands Auto ministry has been around for several years but started much under the radar as a service project of Chris Rainer in 2006. In 2010 the ministry got it's first big break when Bern Bultman of Dutton Automotive hired Chris Rainer as a shop technician and manager. Rather than being a mobile ministry, Dutton Automotive became a place for His Hands to perform free or low cost car repair to worthy individuals after hours and on Saturdays. Soon the first donated car came to be and with a little spiffing up it was ready for resale at the whopping price of $300, the cost of the repairs to make the vehicle safe. That vehicle is still on the road
today. Since that first car, roughly a dozen more have been donated or purchased by the ministry, gone over and resold at very affordable prices. Most of these cars are still in use or have been since passed on to other friends or family, and 3 actually have been traded back into the ministry and gone back into service for yet another qualified family. The minimal profit on these automobiles has afforded His Hands the opportunity to bless several people with free car repairs and assistance in automobile purchases. His Hands Auto is firstly a ministry to restore dignity and hope to God's people. Secondly, using God given gifts and talents to perform vitally necessary services for His people's autos, and lastly, a point of vehicle purchase.
